Editorial policy

The GU Teppanyaki is responsible for providing, checking and maintaining the content on this website. This policy explains our sources, verification process, updates and how to request a correction.

Content responsibility: The GU Teppanyaki
Last updated:

1. What sources does the website use?

Content is checked against THE GU’s own operating information, including the current menu, ingredient records, service procedures, reservation policies, opening hours and official contact details. Advertising, posts with unclear sources and third-party tool scores are not treated as conclusive evidence.

2. How are menus, prices and ingredients verified?

Set menus, prices, service charges, preparation times and ingredients must be checked against the restaurant’s current information before publication or updates. Prices, dishes and seasonal ingredients may change with supply and operations; final details are confirmed during the reservation process.

3. Who verifies information about the food and dining experience?

THE GU checks information about dishes, service sequence, ingredients and tableside dining against actual restaurant practice and information from the relevant kitchen team. Unless an expert has agreed to the publication of their name, role and responsibilities, the website does not create a Person profile, add reviewedBy attribution, or present the brand team as food safety or medical experts.

4. Who verifies reservation and operating information?

Opening hours, telephone number, address, contact methods, reservation procedures, deposits and capacity are checked with THE GU’s operations team. The currently published contact details are 0703 888 329 and [email protected], with service daily from 11:00–15:00 and 18:00–22:00.

5. How does THE GU handle AI-assisted content?

AI tools may assist with editing, translation or structural checks, but content is not published solely on the basis of AI output. People must check all facts about the brand, food, prices, ingredients, service schedule and operating policies against THE GU’s current information before publication.

6. What does THE GU avoid publishing without verification?

  • Awards, rankings, certifications or Michelin claims without an official source.
  • Review counts, ratings or comments that cannot be verified.
  • Unconfirmed titles, experience, qualifications or expert roles.
  • Health, nutrition or food safety claims without an appropriate professional basis.
  • Ingredient origins, prices or policies that no longer match current operations.

7. How are images and evidence of the experience used?

The website prioritizes photographs and videos recorded at THE GU, including the restaurant, Teppanyaki counter, private rooms, dishes, set menus and actual service. Decorative images or material without sufficient evidence are not described as photographs of the restaurant. ALT text, captions and VideoObject markup are used only when the corresponding content actually appears on the page.

8. How are publication and modification dates managed?

Pages and articles use actual WordPress publication and modification dates, or dates recorded through the editorial process. Modification dates are updated only when content has changed or been reviewed; the website does not invent dates to influence assessment scores.

9. Privacy and personal information

THE GU does not publish the founder’s name, personal profile or private account in its author structure. The website does not create Person schema for anyone who has not agreed to public disclosure. If an expert agrees to participate in future, their name, role and review scope will be published only within that consent.

10. Requesting a correction

If you find information that is inaccurate or out of date, please send the page URL, the content to check and supporting information to Email THE GU or call 0703 888 329. THE GU will check with the relevant team and update the information when there is supporting evidence.
